Charlotte and Harper

A little over a month ago I photographed an adorable pair of three-year-old twins, Charlotte and Harper Wilson, as it was time for new headshots. The girls are young stars, having already appeared on several hit television shows along with a few commercials. Their mother, Regina, was kind enough to answer a few questions for me.

Q: What are their full names and who’s older?

A: Harper Rosemary Wilson is 7 minutes older than Charlotte Irene Wilson.

Q: What made you decide to get them involved in acting?

A: I never really decided to get them into acting per say, it just sort of happened.  At 9 weeks old, my midwife called and asked if we would want to have them in a commercial.  I thought “Why not?” They didn’t have an agent or anything and they were called into a callback session and they were cast in a Suave commercial.  Obviously at 9 weeks there is no acting going on.  They just had nice round heads so they booked the job.

Q: What have they appeared in so far?

A: They also did a Sony commercial, an episode of House, Cold Case and Big Love all in which they play “the baby”.  Not much acting there either.  They also played Jenna, daughter of Kimber on Nip/Tuck seasons 5 & 6.  This was a little more involved and they did multiple episodes.

Q: Can you give a very brief description of each girl? How they’re different? How they’re alike?

A: It’s pretty easy to get a smile from Charlotte and Harper is quick with a joke.  They both have a great sense of humor at such an early age.  They are both HUGE flirts!  They love the boys.

Q: Lastly, what’s the funniest thing they’ve ever done while on set? If you can’t think of anything, how to they generally behave on set?

A: They are great on sets and very adaptable to working with different people.    During an episode of Nip/Tuck they were eating Chinese food at the table and Harper had never had it before so I didn’t know if she would like it.  They couldn’t get her away from the table!  She just wanted more so after they filmed the scene, they just let her keep eating.  That’s how we found out she likes Chinese.

Thank you to Charlotte, Harper and Regina for making this such a fun and entertaining shoot!
